Dprime Hosting

Point a domain to Dprime Hosting

Connect a domain using nameservers or DNS records and verify the change before troubleshooting the website.

Before changing DNS

  • Confirm the domain has already been added to the correct website in Enhance.
  • Copy the nameservers or website IP shown in your Dprime service information.
  • Record the current DNS zone, especially MX, TXT and verification records used by email or third-party services.
  • Decide whether Dprime, Cloudflare or another provider will remain authoritative for DNS.

Use the nameserver method

  1. Sign in to the registrar where the domain is registered.
  2. Replace the current nameservers with the Dprime nameservers supplied for your service.
  3. Remove old nameservers rather than mixing providers.
  4. Save the change and allow time for delegation and cached answers to update.
Important

Changing nameservers moves control of the entire DNS zone. Recreate any required email, verification or external-service records before the old zone stops answering.

Keep external DNS and change records

  1. Create or update the root-domain A record so it points to the assigned website IP.
  2. Point www to the root domain using a CNAME, unless your DNS provider requires another supported method.
  3. Remove conflicting A, AAAA or CNAME records for the same host.
  4. Keep proxying disabled while diagnosing SSL or origin connectivity, then enable it again when the origin works directly.

Verify the result

  • Check the authoritative nameservers first. A record change cannot help if you edited the wrong DNS provider.
  • Check both the root domain and www because they can resolve differently.
  • Test on another network or with a public DNS lookup when your device may still have a cached result.
  • Wait for DNS to resolve correctly before treating an SSL warning as a certificate problem.
