Choose the right type
- A new website has its own files, application settings and resource usage.
- An alias displays the same website under another domain name.
- A subdomain can be attached to the current website or used for a separate site, depending on what you are building.
- A redirect sends visitors to a different URL and does not serve the original website content.
Add the domain in Enhance
- Open Websites and choose Manage for the relevant website.
- Open Domains in the website navigation.
- Select Add domain and choose the required type.
- Enter the complete domain without http://, https:// or a path.
- Save the change, then update DNS at the provider that hosts the domain's authoritative DNS.
After adding the domain
Enhance automatically treats www as an alias for a website in the standard configuration. Do not create duplicate DNS records until you have checked the existing zone.
SSL issuance begins only after the domain resolves to the correct service and the certificate authority can reach it publicly.
Important
If Add domain or a domain type is missing, the hosting package may not allow it. Send Dprime support the website name and the domain type you need.
