Manage WordPress with the Enhance toolkit

Use single sign-on, plugin management, automatic updates, maintenance mode and debugging tools safely.

What the toolkit can manage

  • Open WordPress administration using single sign-on.
  • Install, activate, deactivate and remove themes and plugins.
  • Control WordPress core automatic updates.
  • Create or update WordPress users and roles.
  • Enable maintenance mode while making changes.
  • Turn on WP_DEBUG, WP_DEBUG_LOG and WP_DISPLAY for temporary diagnosis.
  • Restrict WordPress administrator access to allowed IP addresses when the feature is enabled.

Update without breaking the live site

  1. Check that a recent backup exists and can be restored.
  2. Read the plugin or theme changelog for compatibility warnings.
  3. Use a staging copy for major updates, PHP-version changes or WooCommerce changes.
  4. Update one group at a time and test the home page, forms, login and checkout.
  5. Clear application and CDN caches only after confirming the site itself works.

Use debug mode carefully

Enable logging when you need an error trace, reproduce the problem once, then inspect the log. Displaying errors publicly can expose file paths or application details, so keep WP_DISPLAY off on a live site unless support specifically asks for it.

Important

Turn debug options off after diagnosis. A growing debug log can consume storage and reveal information if it becomes publicly accessible.
